THE DOVE BLOCK PROJECT SHORT FILM FESTIVAL 

 The Dove Block Project and the James Spates theater is proudto  announce the 1st annual Dove Block Project Short Film Festival.

 

The Dove Block Project in located in the heart of theFingerlakes region of New York state, Geneva.  The Dove BlockProject offers a variety of free  workshops and programs over the course of theyear,  and has decided to put together aShort Film Festival  featuring regionaland international film makers.

 The festival willoffer the film makers a chance to showcase their films in The Dove BlockProject's own James Spates theater, located inside the DBP. It's a 27 seat theater just a short walk fromSeneca lake,  restaurants and bars. Witha state of the art sound system in an intimate setting, it will offer attendeesand filmmakers a perfect opportunity to connect with one another.


The festival will include screenings,  Q&A sessions with filmmakers ,andpresentations of films by the filmmakers themselves. The films will vary insubject matter ranging from live action, documentaries,  and perhaps askateboard video in the mix.

While at the Dove Block Project you'll also have anopportunity to tour the historical site where Arthur Dove created somememorable art as a visionary in the abstract art movement.

 The festival willalso offer prizes for best animated, best documentary,  and best overall short film. 

 The Dove BlockProject Short Film Festival  will takeplace on October 13th 2024, beginning at 12 pm.

 The festival is freeand open to the public via registration at the Dove Block Project'swebsite.  Reservations will start inSeptember.
